Borodin Alexander Porfiryevich (1833–1887)-composer, chemical scientist.
Borodin was a bright and original composer and scientist, author of the epic opera "Prince Igor" and works that laid the foundation of the heroic and epic direction of Russian symphonism. This is a kind of portrait-monument, performed shortly after the death of the composer, impressed by recent meetings with him. It is depicted in his favorite pose during a concert in the noble assembly (now the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic). The portrait was written from a person, a figure similar to Borodin, as well as photos.
