The artist is Borisov -Musatov
In the late 1890s-early 1900s, when this study was written in. Borisov-Musatov spent every summer in the old landowner estates of the Saratov province of the Sleptzovka and the Zubrilovka. Here the artist found a whole world of images and plot motifs in which his plans were embodied, until then yet obscure, not formed. Between 1901 and 1904, the artist wrote an extensive series of paintings, diverse in emotional content and nature of professional-creative solutions, but interconnected by the unity of the lyrical attitude. The Musatovsky world abides outside of time and space, the artist as if emphasizes that the life, recreated by him on canvas, is ghostly, and not real. In nature, a certain "Endless slow melody". Writer a.M.Fedorov wrote about the artist’s paintings:"…Looking at this blue young sky among the white clouds that he loved to portray in. Musatov, I recall the wolves spills, the green island with valleys in the forest, white from the lilies of the valley, as if the clouds had fallen from the sky into the grass and lurked there". Vigid color scheme – bright blue of colors, dazzling whiteness of clouds – marks overcoming sorrows, its dissolution is delighted before the eternal beauty of nature.
