The artist is Kuindzhi

The landscape is expressed by harmonious gloomy coloring „Lunar Night “(1890s), performed in a free sketch manner. As in other later works, Kuindzhi seeks here the ultimate generalization of forms and color masses, giving the usual and transient sensation of something extraordinary and eternal.
